I enjoyed my stay at Sala Rattanakosin, especially for its amazing views of Wat Arun from the rooftop, which I found truly stunning. However, I was disappointed by a few aspects including the room size and some wear and tear. The check-in process was slightly inconvenient due to the location and lack of direct vehicle access, and I noticed an unpleasant odor in the lobby area. Overall, it's a lovely place for the views, but the stay itself could be improved. 🌅

Rooms
6.0
The rooms are small and show signs of wear, with chipped paint and worn furniture. Room service was hindered by a lack of surface space to eat on, and I often ended up dining on my bed.
Service
8.0
The staff were welcoming and accommodating, even providing a box breakfast for my early tour without me asking. Their hospitality stood out during my stay.
Location
7.0
The hotel is in a busy area, close to many major temples and easily accessible to local attractions. However, the alleyway leading to the hotel felt uncomfortable at times.
Dining
7.0
Dining at the rooftop bar provided a lovely view, but it became overcrowded during sunset. The restaurant's food was nice, though the atmosphere could be more relaxing.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel lacks typical facilities like a gym or pool, which was disappointing. The absence of elevators also made navigating the five stories a challenge.

I had an very nice stay at Sala Rattanakosin Bangkok, highlighted by the stunning views of Wat Arun. The location is perfect for exploring nearby temples but can be a bit challenging to find at first. While the breakfast was fantastic, the absence of an elevator made getting around a bit tricky, especially for higher floors. Overall, it was a nice experience that I would highly recommend.

I stayed in the Wat Arun River View Suite, and the lovely views through the floor-to-ceiling windows blew me away. The suite was beautifully designed, and the large tub was a lovely touch for relaxing with a glass of wine. However, be sure to check which room you are booking, as some don't have great views.
Service

Location

The hotel is ideally located along the Chaopraya River, just steps away from Wat Arun and a short walk to other attractions like Wat Pho and the Grand Palace. Although it's situated in a busy area with some construction, the river view is really good and worth it for exploring the historic sites.
Dining

Breakfast was a highlight for me, featuring a good array of Thai and international dishes with stunning river views. Dining at the hotel offered beautiful views of Wat Arun, but I did notice that some dining options were limited during certain hours.

The hotel lacked elevators, which could be an issue for some, but this boutique atmosphere added to its charm. The rooftop bar and river terrace were fantastic places to enjoy the scenery.

My stay at Sala Rattanakosin Bangkok was good, with a perfect location for viewing Wat Arun and other major attractions. The breakfast was truly amazing, featuring both Thai and international options. However, the entrance to the hotel is a bit unremarkable, and navigating taxis can be tricky the first time.

I had a mixed experience at Sala Rattanakosin Bangkok. The stunning views of Wat Arun made my stay special, especially from the rooftop bar, but I was disappointed with the small, worn rooms and the lack of facilities. The location is fantastic for exploring major temples, but the narrow alley entrance and absence of an elevator made it inconvenient at times.

I had a wonderful stay at Sala Rattanakosin, with an very nice view of Wat Arun from my room that truly took my breath away. The breakfast was really good, featuring delicious homemade Thai dishes. However, I noticed some minor issues, like the rooms feeling a bit dated and the lack of an elevator which might be challenging for some. Overall, I would recommend it for its prime location and stunning scenery.

My room had a lovely view of Wat Arun, and it had the essentials, though it felt a bit cramped for luggage. I loved the comfy bed and fluffy pillows, but noticed it could use a long mirror.
